File transfer for printers and graphic designers

FTP Uploads is a personally brandable service for clients who routinely need to send and receive large amounts of data quickly and efficiently.

Our typical customers are to be found in the graphical design market place and progressive printers who see the need to be one step ahead of the competition and offer efficient means of sending and receiving large digital artwork files. Email was originally designed to handle small text files but quality Internet services and modern transmission rates mean that you can get away with email of 10MB though this can be both unreliable and block more legitimate email uses. FTP email transfer is the logical and technically correct choice.

Toucan Internet offers it's clients a private ftp domain with pass worded access and usage statistics.

How do we use the service?

Your clients will need to be given an access username and password to gain access to your ftp space. Do bear in mind that all clients have access to your common FTP space so this is not private. Also you will have to maintain the space by clearing down files when no longer required. This is just like clearing them off your own PC and if you're using Windows Explorer the operation is as seamless as if the FTP space is on your own PC, assuming you have a good ADSL Internet connection.

How do I connect to the FTP Space?

You connect to your FTP space either with an FTP client such as WS FTP or for Windows XP users use the FTP client within Windows Explorer.

This is a public area ftp site limited to just 2MB. The standard FTP site is set to a massive 500MB.

How much does this cost?

Set up of FTP space under your own subdomain plus password protected transfer stats - £30
Standard quotas - 500MB FTP space. 1GB monthly transfer. Excess charged at 2p per MB and typically billed quarterly

Payment can be made on annual fee of £445.00 or a three monthly fee of £133.50 in advance.
The annual fee gives a saving of two months over the quarterly payment option.
